An application called “Helaviru Digital Economic Center” to make the marketing of agricultural products more convenient and efficient by Sri Lanka Telecom in relation to the implementation of the “Helaviru Digital Economic Center” as a pilot project in the Southern Province. (APP) has been created, The purpose of this is to facilitate the sale and purchase process of the people/entrepreneurs more quickly and easily at fair prices.
To implement this software as a pilot project in the Southern Province, to inform the government institutions of the Southern Province and to provide support to them, and according to the request made by Sri Lanka Telecom from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Southern Province, to an agreement for the immediate implementation of this project in the Southern Province has arrived. Accordingly, the signing of the relevant MoU was done on 17/08/2022 at around 11.30 am at the Southern Province Ministry of Agriculture Auditorium. On behalf of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Secretary of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Agriculture A.U. Mr. welaratne, Mr. Chamara Mahagamage, Deputy Director (Programming) of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Asiri Guruge, Assistant Secretary of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Agriculture, and Mr. Dinesh Perera, Deputy General Manager (Digital Project Promotion), representing Sri Lanka Telecom, Mr. Hasaranga Vidanapathirana, Deputy General Manager (Digital Project Promotion), Mr. Ranjith Seneviratne, Manager (Digital Project Promotion), Mr. Chamil Gunathilaka (Digital Project Promoter), Engineer, Mr. Priyankara Dias, Southern Province Helaviru Project Officer, participated in it. Apart from this, many officials of the Southern Province Ministry of Agriculture and the Southern Province Agriculture Department also participated in the event.
