Inaugural program to implement "Helaviru Digital Economic Center" agricultural product marketing software as a pilot project in Southern Province created by Sri Lanka Telecom. Sri Lanka Telecom has created an application (APP) called "Helaviru Digital Economic Center" to make the marketing of agricultural products more convenient and efficient, The purpose of this is to facilitate the sale and purchase process of people/entrepreneurs at reasonable prices more quickly and easily.To implement this software as a pilot project in the southern province, to inform the government agencies of the southern province and to provide support to them, and according to the request made by Sri Lanka Telecom from the Ministry of Agriculture of the southern province, to an agreement for the immediate implementation of this project in the southern province has arrived. On 07/01/2022 from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm through the online (Zoom) technology under the chairmanship of Mr. Willy Gamage, Governor of Southern Province, Chief Secretary of Southern Province R. C. De Soyza, Secretary of the Southern Provincial Ministry of Agriculture A.U. Velaratne, Southern Province Chief Ministry Secretary Krishantha Mahendra, Southern Province Governor Secretary Dilekha Kudachchi, Southern Province Agriculture Director C.D. Gunawardena,Southern Province Agriculture Ministry Deputy Director (Programming) Chamara Mahagamage, Southern Province Assistant Governor Secretary Chandrika Wickramasinghe and Governor Secretariat Administrative Officer Deepta Digoda Gamage, representing Sri Lanka Telecom, Galle District Deputy General Manager Tisan Dammit and Regional Manager Sanjay Pushpa Kumara.
